La artista María Carretero, vive y trabaja en sus estudios de Madrid, Galicia y Lanzarote. A lo largo de su vida profesional ha realizado numerosas exposiciones individuales y colectivas, nacionales e internacionales. Ha participado en seminarios de incorporación de las Artes en los espacios públicos y en diferentes Bienales de Arquitectura, como la Bienal de Arquitectura de Buenos Aires, Bienal de Escultura de San Francisco, y Bienal de Escultura de Providence-Rhode Island, ESTADOS UNIDOS entre otras. Su proyecto está enfocado a la recuperación de espacios exteriores y el cuidado del entorno, siendo uno de sus más destacados trabajos el conjunto escultórico en el Camino de Santiago “HOMENAJE AL PEREGRINO”, así como “OLIMPO CELTA XXI” en Padrón, o la obra situada en el acceso principal de TVG en San Marcos “ME ENCUENTRO EN UNA PIEDRA”, como símbolo de las comunicaciones universales en Santiago de Compostela, GALICIA.

The artist María Carretero, lives and works in her studios in Madrid, Galicia and Lanzarote. Throughout her professional life, she has done a number of individual and collective national and international exhibitions. She has participated in seminars dedicated to the incorporation of art in public spaces such as the Buenos Aires Architectural Biennial, San Francisco Sculptural Biennal, and Providence Rhode Island (USA) Sculptural Biennal, among others. Her sculptural projects focus on recovering exterior spaces and mantaining the outdoor environment. One of her most important sculptural pieces is the “HOMAGE TO THE PILGRIM” on the Santiago Pilgrimage Route, along with the “OLIMPO CELTA XXI” in Padrón. The piece located on the main access route to GALICIA TV in San Marcos, “I FIND MYSELF INSIDE A STONE”, is a simbol of the universal communications in Santiago de Compostela, GALICIA.
